I first met Jessica in 2017 when she was brand new to Sacramento. She had met her husband Janis while living in Germany, and was waiting for him to make the move over to the US. Jessica already knew that I would be their Realtor once they were financial ready to make the move - every time someone brought up real estate, Jessica could see my enthusiasm when I start talking about the various up and coming developments and neighborhoods in Sacramento. Finally I got the call from Jessica and Janis that that were ready find a place of there own. They were tired a increasing rents and sharing a smaller-than-ideal rental with family members. We met at my office, and where I went over began creating a property search (through this website). I explained to them that the real estate buying process is a process of elimination. We start by asking what is most important. What are the "must haves" and what are the "must not haves" and setting up the search accordingly. The more we talked, it became clear the common denominator with Jessica and Janis was proximity to their jobs, the fare compromise in commute times, we found centered around the I-50. They liked the Rosemont community because of its close proximity to the I-50 and also to the light rail which parallels the I-50, yet is still an established community with most families. The challenge we found, was that inventory in that area was thin...they, like many other buyers, wanted that open floor plan, that front-facing 2 car garage, and that fences backyard where their dog could play. It didn't take viewing too many homes before we found them the one...I knew this home was going to sell FAST, so I told them we'd better write this offer fast...I wasted No time...raced back to the office, and began drafting up the offer. We submitted the offer the first day of the property being on market, and the next day, they accepted our offer. Jessica and Janis did an amazing job at installing new laminate floors throughout, as well as painting the place and adding their own personal touch.
